Jarle Viskjer the manager at Litlos tourist cabin. Jarle have a passion for sledges, so he is very happy that Litlos is checkpoint 2 at Expedition Amundsen 2012. In 1998, Jarle became manager at the tourist cabin which is located 40km from Haukeliseter. Being a manager of a tourist cabin far away from asphalt and sidewalks is not a job for anyone. Talking about cabins, Litlos is not a regular cabin. Jarle and his crew can host as many as 52 hikers. Jarle is our MacGyver, we are quite confident that he can fix everything. Where others see obstacles,  he will only see possibilities. Litlos are usually not open when the participants reach the cabin, but Jarle keeps Litlos warm for himself and his assistants. As a crew in the Expedition Amundsen Jarle will see that you breathe and still look steady on your skis. If participants choose to take out the mandatory rest at Litlos he will see that the tent is established and also give you encouragement on the way towards the next checkpoint. Being a cabin manager is a challenging and different work, we wonder what gives you the most pleasure with such a job, Jarle? "It`s the joy of being in the mountains, and especially being in the mountains all seasons. Everything has its charm, from the cold winter to fine summer days, and last but not least, reindeer hunting in the fall!" Finally, what are your best tip to the participants in the Expedition Amundsen? "My best tip must be that all participants has done very well preparations with the route, be able to use map and GPS in bad conditions, to avoid surprises out in the terrain and to minimize time spent in navigation along the way!" This is a very good advice from a man who can fix almost anything, and also spend a lot of time on the mountain. We are very pleased to have Jarle in our team!
